Fundy Discovery Site
The Fundy Discovery Site sits near the mouth of Salmon River at the head of the Bay of Fundy. Here, the highest tides in the world create the phenomenon of the Tidal Bore at the eastern edge of the Geopark! A tidal bore is a tumbling wavefront that moves upstream against the seaward flow of a river as the rising tidal water flows into the river channel and overwhelms the normal flow.
