Refugee Cove

One of the many wild and lesser-known places awaiting discovery in the Geopark, by only the experienced hiker or kayaker. Investigate the intricacies of the magma plumbing system of an ancient volcano, now solidified as granite. See the raised sea stacks from a time 16,000 years ago when the sea first pushed back the ice covering the Geopark. And remember the Acadians who overwintered in Refugee Cove in 1755-56 to escape expulsion.
